It's no secret that I LOVE makeup. And so do soooooo many of you :) But, I think I speak for a lot of us when I say it actually stings my heart to drop a small fortune at Sephora on sometimes just one product!
These days, the drugstore is COMPETING with those high end brands and I'm here for it. You can absolutely get a full makeup kit with everything from the drugstore. I'm talking Walgreens, Target, Walmart, etc.
There's a few things that people need to know about themselves before starting their own kit-
I'm going to share with you what I personally think is the perfect makeup kit for most everyone. This is based off products that I have found work for me and I hope they all work for you!
A few points to note:
- I have dry skin
- My goal is to look dewy and glowy and natural
So below are some of my favorite products. You can find allllll of these at Walgreens, Ulta (drugstore section), walmart, target, rite aid.
Because I personally have dryer skin, my goal is to look and feel hydrated and illumiized. All of these products can be adjusted based on what you want to achieve in your look. For example, shown above I use both the luminous versions of my foundations along with a hydrating and illuminating primer. I also don't use face powder at all. But most do, and I suggest you do unless you find your skin is on the dryer side as well.
